Discontinuation taken from TDK's own Product Obsolescence / UPtoDATE notices and discontinuation letters — TDK-authored PDFs opened in full as authorised-distributor mirrors (TTI, TTI Europe, Mouser, and a distributor-hosted copy of the July 2025 UPtoDATE) of the identical TDK documents; neither TDK Corporation nor TDK Electronics AG (the former EPCOS) hosts a public notice library of its own. Every record is one entry of a notice's own part list, across 11 notices: NDC_20241203_009 (218 records — the TDK DISTRIBUTION master list for the NLV-PF wound-inductor discontinuation: NLCV25T / NLCV32T / NLFV25T / NLV25T / NLV32T, every part with its printed -EF substitute), VLF-MT notice (232 records — VLF-MT wire-wound inductors with VLS-HBX / VLS5045EX substitutes as printed), 240906MAG2e (65 records — the SIMID 0805-B withdrawal's own annex cross-reference table into SIMID 0805-F), 241213PPD3e (39 records — CN multilayer varistors, each with its printed replacement type), 251002PPD1e (33 records — ThermoFuse varistors ETFV25 / MT25, each with its TVE25 alternative), 250718MAG2e (8 records — SMT inductor series patterns, withdrawn without replacement), plus the NMP aluminium-capacitor withdrawal (68, every code with its pin-and-size-compatible substitute), the Mn ferrite core notice (90 unique TDK codes, no substitute printed), the B32320I power-capacitor withdrawal (2), the MSS/WPT magnetic-sheet letter (6) and the WPT ferrite-sheet letter (1) — the exact part number, the substitute exactly as the notice prints it where one is printed per part, and the notice's issue / last-order / last-shipment dates. 647 of the 762 records carry a printed substitute.
Time-critical, stated plainly: the SMT inductor pattern notice (250718MAG2e) is the file's only still-open window — last shipments run to 31 January 2027 (last orders closed 31 July 2026, and the notice names no replacement). The NLV-PF window closed with final delivery on 30 September 2026; every other notice's window has also closed, and for those the value is the verified discontinuation and substitute record itself.
Counting basis, stated plainly: one record per unique TDK part number in a notice's own part list (218 + 232 + 65 + 39 + 33 + 8 + 68 + 2 + 90 + 6 + 1 = 762). The NLV-PF event reached distribution in two copies — a TTI Europe customer copy and the TDK DISTRIBUTION master list; only the master list ships, so nothing is counted twice, and every one of its 218 substitutes was verified to appear as a printed substitute token in the notice, never derived by rule alone (two independent PDF extractions produced the identical 218-part set). Correction, stated plainly: this dataset first shipped at 309 records with the NLV section at 157, because a suffix-parsing bug collapsed the -PFD rows into their -PF siblings and three notices (VLF-MT, NMP, ferrite) had not yet been reconciled from the parallel research pass; the corrected file shipped the same day.
Honesty notes: one SIMID substitute prints anomalously in its PDF text layer (B82498F3331JG01, where every sibling row prints the …G001 form) — it is reproduced as printed and flagged in the paid file, never silently corrected. The July 2025 SMT notice prints only series patterns, shipped as pattern records; a distributor's internal email bundled into that copy, listing its own registered orderables, is not TDK-authored and ships nothing. The TDK-Lambda EOL letters (NN series, CUS250LD) were opened in full and held out of this file — TDK-Lambda power supplies are a different TDK business and a possible separate dataset — see the paid file's honesty notes.
Verification standard: TDK-authored notices only — the 11 notices above, each opened in full by the build run; the NLV master list was verified by two independent PDF extractions producing the identical part set, the SIMID annex and NMP table were parsed by scripts asserting completeness against the PDFs, and the VLF-MT and ferrite notices were read in full in the browser.
