Pilz Safety Automation End-of-Life / Migration Reference

Type-level lifecycle status taken from Pilz's own official sources: its two "Product Discontinuation" PDFs (PNOZelog; PSS 4000 CPU 1), its lexicon article on the PNOZmulti Classic / Mini discontinuation, and the individual Pilz e-shop discontinued pages for the PNOZmulti Classic base units. The file covers the PNOZelog family closure — 15 relay types plus PLID d1, discontinued at the end of December 2024 because, in Pilz's words, important components including both microprocessors were discontinued — the PNOZmulti Classic base units (range discontinued 31 December 2024, succeeded by PNOZmulti 2), and the PSS 4000 Generation 1 head modules superseded by CPU 2.0 / Gen. 2 types, with a substitute Product ID printed for only two of the six base types.

Counting basis, stated plainly: Pilz publishes no EOL list, discontinuation index or phase-out portal — only the notices above plus per-product e-shop marks. This dataset therefore counts distinct types covered by a range-level discontinuation statement (the same type-level precedent as the Honeywell and Beckhoff files in this catalogue), never range records and their constituent types twice, and never the hundreds of standalone per-part-number e-shop pages, which would be inference, not a Pilz statement.

Time-critical: every dated record in this file closed at the end of December 2024 — PNOZelog / PLID d1 and the PNOZmulti Classic (and Mini) ranges are in spares-and-redesign territory. The PNOZelog notice names no successor at all; the PSS 4000 notice publishes no date and leaves four of six base types with no substitute.

Honesty notes: A successor appears only where Pilz names one — myPNOZ / PNOZsigma / PNOZmulti 2 are NOT recorded as PNOZelog successors, however plausible they look. PSS 4000 replacements are Product IDs exactly as printed, with no name invented for an ID. Standard/"C" variant rows and suffix rows are collapsed to one type record each, and that collapsing is stated in the file.

Verification standard: Pilz official sources only — 3 documents plus the 4 base units' own e-shop discontinued pages, every one opened in full.
