Discontinuances taken from Microchip's own End-of-Life (EOL) Product Change Notifications (PCNs) — Microchip-authored notices whose per-part rows live in separate Affected CPN attachments. Four of the notices here were opened in full as DigiKey-hosted bundles of the identical Microchip document (main notice with the Affected CPN list appended); one pairs its Mouser-hosted main notice with its Suggested Replacements attachment opened on microchip.com's own PCNWebAPI endpoint, and three more were opened through the same PCNWebAPI route in a live browser. Every record is one row of a PCN Affected CPN list across eight PCNs: PoE midspan / injector families (53 records), CAN / LIN transceivers, smoke-detector front ends, LDOs and related families (124), PM5324 / PM5326 / PM5370 / PM5377 SONET/SDH devices (4), A42MX09 / A42MX16 / A42MX24 antifuse FPGAs (40) and A2F200M3F / A2F500M3G SmartFusion SoC FPGA orderables (9), MFOL-18PMKU510 mixed Micrel / analog CPNs (10, with suggested replacements), TC652 / TC653 fan controllers (7) and MIC3001 / MIC3003 optical parts (5) — the discontinued catalog part number, Microchip's suggested replacement exactly as printed where a replacements document was opened, and the PCN's issue, last-time-buy and last-time-ship dates.
Time-critical: the two FPGA notices (A42MX, 40 parts; SmartFusion, 9 parts) take final shipments until December 1, 2026. Both notices are conditional: Microchip states in each that it is qualifying a new assembly site and intends to cancel the EOL if qualification succeeds (last-time-buy orders are NCNR meanwhile) — re-check the PCN status before committing to a redesign. Every other notice in the file has passed both its last-time-buy and last-time-ship dates, so those records are migration records: what Microchip named, where it named anything at all — 49 of the 252 records carry a named replacement.
Counting basis, stated plainly: one record per CPN row in a PCN's Affected CPN list — Microchip's own row count (53 + 124 + 4 + 40 + 9 + 10 + 7 + 5 = 252). No grouping, collapsing or splitting.
Honesty notes: replacements are reproduced exactly as printed — including the PoE notice's regional-variant mappings, where the -EU and -UK variants map to the -EK replacement as printed (sic). Thirteen PoE rows print a blank replacement cell, recorded as blank. The CAN/LIN notice's separate Suggested Replacements attachment is hosted only on microchip.com, whose legacy attachment path returns 403 to automated fetching here, and could not be opened — its 124 records therefore carry no replacement value, which is stated in the file as "not opened", never as "none". Notices whose Affected CPN attachments could not be opened by any route (including the large SiC power-module notice MFOL-09OAQJ904) are excluded and documented in the paid file's coverage gaps, as are two replacement-rich notices visible only in search-index text (LAN Ethernet PHYs, TC65xx/TCN75 temperature sensors) — index text is never a record here.
Verification standard: Microchip-authored PCNs only — the 8 notices above, every one opened in full with the attachment that carries its rows (four as DigiKey-hosted bundles of the identical Microchip document, four via microchip.com PCNWebAPI — one of those paired with its Mouser-hosted main notice).
